New services experienced a delay in DNS record creation due to a recent upgrade to our systems. During the process, unexpected AAAA records were created, and TXT records were duplicated, which caused us to hit AWS DNS quota limits.
To mitigate the issue, we reverted the DNS system upgrade and are currently waiting for AWS to approve a quota increase. Once the increase is in place, we’ll proceed with upgrading the system to the latest version.
We are currently experiencing delays in the provisioning of DNS records, which is impacting the creation of new services in our cloud platform.
This issue stems from a recent change that caused our DNS zone for database hostnames, new service deployments that require creation of new DNS entries are temporarily affected.
Our engineering team is actively working to resolve the issue by reducing the number of DNS records in the impacted zone and restoring normal provisioning behavior.
We will provide updates as we make progress. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
